      What is the age requirement for air force recruitment?

      The air force recruitment process requires an applicant to be 17 years of age, either an Australian citizen or possess a Permanent Residency Status. If you are under 17 years of age, you still qualify to the air force recruitment as long as you are 16 years and 6 months of age. However if you really want to join and over 10 years old, the air force recruitment process allows you to register for a Defence Jobs Membership. An alternative given by the air force recruitment for those interested to apply but are 15 years and 6 months of age is to check if they are eligible to apply for the Australian Defence Force Academy or ADFA Education Award. The award is awarded annually to Year 12 successful applicants and includes a laptop and certificate for the applicant as well as a plaque to given recognition of your school.

      Other special requirements to comply with in the air force recruitment process include Command and Discipline subjecting them to Australian Military Law; Unrestricted Service requiring long hours work or work shift; Military and Trade Skills to acquire and train only on military skills and Tattoos and Body Piercing which will be assessed from case to case.
